SWJ has recently completed a bespoke commission for Next’s brand new store in Bond Street, London.
The national clothing brand and retailer needed two bespoke granite and stainless steel signs for its new flagship store SWJ was appointed by Kievel Tiling and Granite Ltd to undertake the project.
The company’s specialist craftsmen spent three days designing and fabricating the two fixtures for the company. The bespoke items were created by cutting the next logo out of two huge slabs of stone, using powerful water jets. SWJ’s skilled workers then cut the letters out of a sheet of stainless steel and mirror polished them to give a shiny and high-end look. The letters were then resin bonded back into the stone, which was sent straight to London to be installed outside the store ready for its opening.
Peter Noyce, Manager of SWJ, said:
“The job had to be turned around very quickly in order for it to be ready in time for the opening but we got everything completed well within deadline and to the high standards we set ourselves. It’s a real honour to know that our carefully crafted work is on display in one of the busiest shopping streets in the UK.”
